We’re Doomed, and I Love It

Today I’m not going to talk psychology, money, or motivation. I just want to share something.

We all think there’s a problem in everything. But isn’t that amazing? I might sound weird — who thinks problems are amazing? Well, I do. Problems, situations that come out of nowhere — that’s exactly what makes this life interesting. If we didn’t have anything to solve, what would be the fun? Who likes simple? I want some craziness.

I’m 18 and I Don’t Have Anything Figured Out

I’m still confused in many parts of life. I won’t say I’ve understood it, that I know how to tackle anything — no, I don’t. But at least I know what the problem is, and I know I’ll figure it out. I mean, what’s the rush? Is there a timeline we have to follow? Did someone say we have to figure everything out tomorrow? Why are we running?

I Know I Haven’t Seen the Real Struggle

Look, I know it’s pretty easy for me to say all this sitting in a room. I know many people are literally working hard just to survive. I haven’t seen the real struggle yet. But understand — there are so many examples you’ll hear of people literally fighting cancer, last stage, and they still try to be happy. They still focus on living, not complaining.

We can be sad. We can be demotivated. We can be frustrated. But we aren’t made to lose, or to be afraid of problems. We’re made to succeed. I’m not trying to be a hero or anything — it’s just what I feel.

We’ll see what happens. Together, here at Journey of Mani.

What’s a problem that came out of nowhere for you and, if you’re honest, made things a little more interesting? Drop it in the comments.

Stick with me like a koala — I’ll be your favorite tree.
